What made it impressive for me seeing it in theatre was that we weren't expecting it. Prior to the movie release we were told that Vader would be only in the movie sparingly and so the scenes with Krennic were all I thought we'd get. So you could imagine how cool it was to see that scene opening night if you hadn't seen the spoiler leaks.
